Come practice your English and learn about American business! In the Business Short Term English Program (STEP) at the University of Washington, you'll study important business skills and have opportunities to interact with local businesses as well as do research on your own areas of interest. Business STEP focuses on real-life language activities. In class, you'll improve your vocabulary and conversational skills by having discussions with classmates and instructors about different topics of interest. You will work on your business language skills through a variety of assignments and projects. For example, you will be assigned to interview business people at various Seattle-area companies. You'll improve your listening skills by studying and discussing the language and content of entrepreneurship documentaries. You'll also have a chance to interact with American business people as you develop a final group research project presentation on a topic related to business development.
